Lifelong Bone Health Begins In Childhood
You determine in childhood how big the chance of contracting bone fractures is later in life. On the one hand, it is of course a very nice thought that you can largely control this yourself, but on the other hand, you can be very disappointed later if this was not properly or insufficiently addressed in your younger years.

So how do you ensure that your bones are as healthy and strong as possible throughout your life?
There are two nutrients that play a major role in this:
Calcium and Vitamin D
By getting enough calcium and vitamin D as a young person, you will be less likely to break your hip if you fall when you are 80 years old. The building of the bones happens until we are about 30 years old. It is therefore important to ensure that you really build up sufficient bone density before then, because after that the quality of the bones will only deteriorate.

Calcium is a very important mineral that we all need to build and maintain our bones and teeth (and it has a lot of other important functions in our body). Do you not get enough calcium at a young age? Then there is a good chance that your bone development is not going well and that you have a greater chance of osteoporosis later in life.
With the Kindershake your child will receive a substantial nutrient boost. A tasty way to easily get more nutrients and thus work towards great health!
In addition to calcium, vitamin D is also an important factor in this story. This vitamin ensures that the absorption of calcium in our body is stimulated. So are you getting enough calcium but no vitamin D? Then unfortunately you don't have much use for all that calcium you consume.

If children take in less than 125 milligrams of calcium per day, they can even develop symptoms of rickets. The bone formation does not proceed sufficiently, so that the skeleton will grow deformed. This is often due to a deficiency of vitamin D, which therefore disrupts the absorption of calcium.
Children ages 4 to 8 need 700 milligrams of calcium and 10 micrograms of vitamin D per day. Unhealthy nails (white spots on the nails and chipping of the nails) can be a sign of a lack of calcium in the body, but these symptoms are not always there.
Do you want to make sure that your child is working on healthy bones? A Kindershake contains 30% of the recommended daily amount of vitamin D and 40% of calcium (depending on how old your child is, this may vary slightly).
