Help, my child is malnourished!

If your child is malnourished, this can cause great concern for you. It is therefore important to seek medical help as soon as possible if you suspect that your child is malnourished. Your GP can refer you to a pediatrician or dietician for further evaluation and treatment.

In the meantime, you can try to provide nutritious meals and snacks that are rich in protein, carbohydrates, healthy fats, and micronutrients such as vitamins and minerals. Make sure your child eats and drinks regularly and gets enough rest.

Kindershake is an easy way to ensure that your child gets extra nutrients (and is also very tasty!). For example, did you know that one shake contains more vitamin C than an orange, almost as much calcium as three glasses of milk and more vitamin B12 than half a steak of salmon? Read here in detail how your child gets all the necessary nutrients through the Kindershake

If your child doesn't like certain foods, try to be creative and find different ways to prepare or present these foods. Stay calm and patient, and encourage your child to eat and enjoy food.

Remember that malnutrition can be caused by a variety of factors, including poverty, illness, mental health problems or lack of access to food. It is important to address the underlying causes of malnutrition to ensure that your child receives appropriate care.
